What is prayer like for you? Do you like I do many times come to God with a list of needs both for yourself and others. Does the prayer time become a one way conversation? Is it basically you speaking and God listening? One phrase that has impacted me from the one hour prayer is right in the beginning when we are instructed to take a paper and pen so we can write down what God is saying to us. That is a different approach to prayer. Sort of like listening for your instructions for the day.
